In 2011, the national railway planned infrastructure investment of 700 billion yuan, which provides huge market opportunities for the entire high-speed rail equipment manufacturing enterprise. According to the 'Medium and Long-term Railway Network Planning (Adjusted in 2008)In the next three years, my country's high-speed rail bearing market will exceed 2 billion yuan. The investigation found that in the field of high-speed train bearings, which are basic parts of high-speed rail, international giants such as Sweden's SKF, Germany's FAG, and Japan's NTN firmly occupy the Chinese market.
Bearings are key components of major national technical equipment. At present, high-end bearings such as bearings for cars, high-speed railways, wind power, and precision machine tool spindles have always been the soft underbelly of China's bearing industry, relying on imports for a long time. Since the development of my country's bearing industry cannot keep up, it strongly spurs the import of bearings. For example, in the large-scale development of high-speed railways, all the bearings for EMUs with a speed of more than 200 kilometers per hour are imported. At present, the domestic can meet the requirements of only about 160 kilometers of locomotive bearings.
Although some of the domestic companies in my country can make bearings for high-end bearings that can reach the speed of 200 kilometers per hour, the relevant procurement departments will still use imported components. Therefore, the prospects of my country's high-end bearing industry are worrying.
