The adapter type UKT take-up unit has a slide groove in the bearing housing that allows the bearing housing to be freely moved. It is used in locations where between-shaft distance must be adjusted. There is no problem even if the shaft center is moved during rotation, so this type is suitable for sprocket shafts for chains and similar. UKT take-up units are suggested for industrial applications where normal loads are encountered, and they are used where shaft adjustment and belt-tightening devices are required, such as in conveyor applications.

The take-up UKT units provide compact, efficient supports for adjustable shafts and conveyer take-up pulleys. These units use wide inner ring ball bearings with self-aligning spherical outside diameters that compensate for shaft misalignment. The bonded seal design is well-suited for industrial applications involving wet or dirty environments. And the UKT series housed units feature the adapter sleeve locking bearing insert. Each unit comes assembled and ready for mounting, and it’s prelubricated and ready for immediate installation.
