The NATR series yoke-type track roller bearing has a crowned cylindrical outer ring shape and is suitable for supporting high static and dynamic loads in track-type applications. The crowned outer ring provides resistance to roller misalignment and the yoke-type design is appropriate for heavier loads or where clevis or shaft mounting is preferred. A thick-walled outer ring helps minimize deformation under heavy radial and shock loads. This track roller has needle bearings held in place by a pressed steel cage that spaces the rollers for even load distribution and prevents contact to reduce friction, vibration, and noise. The roller is unsealed for applications in which contamination is not a factor.

The outer ring of NATR bearing design is guided axially by pressed-on flange rings. The narrow gap between the flange ring and the outer ring serves as a gap-type seal. This structure is also available with an axial sliding ring on both sides, identified by the designation suffix PPA. The axial sliding rings are made of polyamide 66.

In the radial direction, the sliding ring forms a narrow labyrinth seal with the outer ring, to protect against coarse contaminants. In the axial direction, the sliding ring serves as a contact seal to reliably retain grease in the bearing. This improves the lubrication conditions in the bearing, keeps friction and heat low, and extends grease service life.
