Rod End Joint Bearing GIR...C
Maintenance-free rod ends and maintenance-free corrosionresistant rod ends GIR...C series comprises of a housing with integral shank and a maintenance free radial spherical plain bearing. The shank has an internal thread, the spherical plain bearing is firmly seated and located in the housing. The rod ends are available in open designs and in designs sealed on both sides. The housings and shanks are protected against corrosion by a zinc coating. Additionally, this series is available both in right-hand thread and left-hand thread, and for left-hand thread, there’s a suffix L in the model number.
Rod end bearings GIR...C series are used on the ends of cylinders, linkages, rods, and shafts to take up angular misalignment between connected parts. They consist of a spherically-shaped inner ring and a cylindrical bore for shaft mounting. Rod ends and spherical plain bearings effectively handle oscillating movement and angular misalignment at relatively low sliding speeds. The rod end design supports pivoting within the housing to accommodate misalignment, along with radial and axial loads.
