F6700 series is a deep groove ball bearing with a flange on one side of the outer ring. When using this bearing, it is not necessary to provide a step on the inner bore of the housing, so it is possible to process the through hole with high accuracy. Since this bearing is attached to the end face of the housing as a standard, it is necessary to machine the right angle of the housing end face with high accuracy.

Single-row flanged deep groove ball bearings F6700 series are available in open and sealed designs. They are designed for high to very high speeds and can accommodate radial as well as axial forces.

Flanged bearings are recommended when housing designs cannot accommodate full bearing width, or where the quality of the housing bore is a concern. Moreover, because of their simple design, low operating temperature, and low friction, flanged deep groove ball bearings have a longer expected shelf life than other bearings. They do not require additional lubrication after installation, which also means less maintenance downtime.
