Full complement deep groove ball bearings 6900-V series, also known as maximum type ball bearings 6900-V series, which contain a larger number of balls than normal deep groove ball bearings 6900 series because of filling slots in the inner and outer rings. Because of their filling slots, they are not suitable for applications with high axial loads. Grooved raceways on inner and outer rings sustain moderate axial loads in both directions in addition to radial loads. And when using this type of ball bearings, it is important for the filling slot in the outer ring to be outside of the loaded zone as much as possible.
Filling slot bearings 6900V series have a higher radial load carrying capacity than the standard ball bearings without filling slots, but their axial load carrying capacity is limited. They are also unable to operate at the same high speeds as bearings without filling slots.
