Cylindrical roller bearings are the right choice for high speeds and heavy radial loads. They are produced in different inner ring designs for easy dismounting.

NU Series cylindrical roller bearings are single row bearings and have two fixed ribs on the outer ring and one smooth inner ring. This design allows an axial displacement in certain limits, of the shaft in relation to the housing. Therefore, NU Series rolling bearings are used in non-locating bearing units. Also, the NU Series bearings have no virtually thrust capacity.

In order to meet the needs of the design engineers, there are three different materials for the cages---- polyamide, steel and brass. For polyamide cages, it features high elasticity, light weight and quiet running from good damping. Bearings with this cage carry the designation suffix ETN, e.g. NU 205ETN. A pressed steel cage is available for many bearings, mainly as an alternative to the polyamide cage, and such bearings are identified by the designation suffix E, e.g. 310E. As for the brass cage, the advantage includes very high strength, suitable for very high speed, accelerations, high temperature and high endurance limit. The bearing with this cage is identified by the designation suffix EM, e.g. NU 207EM.

NU cylindrical roller bearings are mainly used in gearboxes, pumps, compressors, spindles, large size motors, heavy industrial machines and vehicles, etc.
