The principle of induction heating

Induction bearing heaters can be compared to transformers, which work by combining a primary coil with more turns and a coil with fewer turns. The secondary coil is mounted on the same iron core. The input to output voltage ratio is equal to the ratio of the turns of the coil, while the energy remains the same. Therefore, the secondary coil generates a large current under low voltage conditions. For the Yangzi tool induction heater, the bearing is a short-circuit single-turn secondary coil, which passes a large current under the condition of lower AC voltage, thus generating a large amount of heat. The heater itself and the yoke are kept at room temperature. Since this heating method induces an electric current, the bearing becomes magnetized. It is important to ensure that the bearing is demagnetized later so that it does not pick up magnetic metal chips during operation. All induction heaters have an automatic degaussing function.

Heat Mounting

The temperature difference between the bearing and where the housing is mounted depends on the interference fit class and bearing size. Normally, the bearing temperature is 80 to 90°C (144 to 162°F) higher than the shaft temperature is sufficient for installation. However, the heating temperature of the bearing must not exceed 125 ° C (257 ° F), because the metallographic transformation of the bearing material will occur at this time, resulting in a change in diameter or hardness. Local overheating must be avoided. In particular, the bearing should not be heated with an open flame. Wear clean protective gloves when installing heated bearings. Installation is facilitated by the use of a hoisting (hoisting) mechanism. Push the bearing along the shaft into the mounting position, holding the bearing in place, pushing until it is a firm fit.
