The use of the bearing can be judged by the appearance and the remaining amount of lubricant. For the bearing rolling surface, raceway surface and mating surface, the wear state and abnormal situation of the cage should be carefully recorded, and the running track of the raceway surface should be observed. Whether the bearing can continue to be used depends on various factors such as the degree of bearing damage, operating conditions, machine performance, inspection cycle, and importance. If the bearing state is abnormal or damaged, it is necessary to find the cause and formulate countermeasures. Generally speaking, it is recommended to replace the bearing with a new bearing in the following situations, and it is not recommended to continue to use it: 1. One of the inner and outer rings and one of the rolling elements is peeled off. 2. The wear of the cage is serious. 3. There is creep on the inner diameter surface of the inner ring or the outer diameter of the outer ring. 4. The seal ring and dust cover of the grease-sealed bearing are severely damaged. 5. There are obvious indentations and scratches on the rolling surface and rolling elements. 6. Any one of the inner and outer rings, rolling elements and cages has cracks and fragments. 7. The raceway surface, rib and rolling element are obviously damaged. 8. The raceway surface and rolling elements are rusted and scratched. 9. Bearings are severely discolored due to overheating. A full understanding of the equipment using the bearing, the bearing use environment, use conditions and bearing structure and other factors can effectively reduce the loss, improve the service life and efficiency of the bearing, and prevent the occurrence of bearing failures caused by unfavorable factors.
