External micrometer SNAP-GAUGE The external micrometer enables the measurement of cylindrical shaft diameters and various other workpieces directly on the machine tool, as well as the calibration of the enveloping circle measuring instrument MGI 21, Fig. 7. Actual dimensions can be determined very precisely. An outside micrometer can be used as a comparison gauge. Each size has a corresponding standard ring gauge for calibration. It rests on a tapered shaft by 4 hardened and polished support feet. And it is positioned by these support feet and 1 stop. Stops can be placed on the front or back of the gauge. The measuring instrument is equipped with two movable measuring frames, one of which is in contact with the outer diameter of the small end of the tapered shaft at a fixed distance, and the other is in contact with the outer diameter of the large end of the tapered shaft. The dial indicator shows the deviation of the diameter of the cone shaft in the two measuring planes from the nominal value. Repeated measurement error is less than 1 m. The gauge needs to be calibrated with a standard cone ring gauge (available by agreement). Order code negotiated ordering. Taper Socket Gauge KLR The Taper Socket Gauge KLR is the easiest way to inspect the mating surfaces of small bearings, Figure 9. The poor fit of the tapered sleeve gauge and the journal is detected by the coloring method. Continue machining the journal until the taper sleeve is supported across its entire width. Since the inner ring of the bearing is easily damaged, it cannot be used as a set of gauges. We offer cone bushing gauges from 30 mm to 240 mm in diameter.
