Characteristics and suffix meaning of FAG single row angular contact ball bearings

Features With few exceptions, FAG single row angular contact ball bearings are inseparable bearings consisting of solid inner and outer rings, balls and cage assemblies. The raceways of the inner and outer rings are offset from each other in the axial direction of the bearing. These bearings have very limited angular adjustment capabilities. Radial and axial load capacity Single row angular contact ball bearings can withstand unidirectional axial force and large radial force. It must be axially adjustable relative to the other bearing. The axial load carrying capacity depends on the contact angle. Bearings with a contact angle of 40 can withstand higher axial loads than bearings with a contact angle of 30. Sealed bearings of this type are not sealed. Lubricated single row angular contact ball bearings can be lubricated with grease or oil. Operating temperature Open angular contact ball bearings operate from 30°C to +150°C. Bearings with outer diameter D 240 mm are dimensionally stable up to +200 C. Cages The standard series of bearings of this type is a brass solid window cage with ball guidance, with the suffix MP. Bearings with the suffix MPA or MPB(S) represent solid brass window cages guided by the outer or inner ring. Suffix Types of suffixes available for standard designs: see table.
