The stamped steel cage of full roller bearing without outer ring is made of mild steel and has undergone a series of cutting, forming and perforating processes. An S-type cage for 5200 series cylindrical roller bearings is an additional design, which is mounted on and guided by the outer ring rib. The beams of this cage are concave plan, they cut off the rotating body symmetrically and keep them on the outer ring. Stamped steel cages can be easily mass-produced and can be used at high temperatures where adequate lubrication is not possible. Two: Machined cage. Machined cages are an option for small cylindrical bearings, sometimes made of brass. Machined cage designs for cylindrical roller bearings can provide doubly good performance in severe service. Cages are available in one-piece or two-piece plans. One-piece plans can be either the finger cage shown in , or a standard cage with fully ground pockets. The one-piece finger plan and the two-piece window cage are seen more in standard cylindrical roller bearings. They are both roller-guided programs. The one-piece pocket scheme is a premium quality cage for full complement bearings without an outer ring. Different from the traditional cylindrical roller guide cage, it is an outer ring guide cage, which can greatly reduce the drag on the rotating body, thereby reducing the heat generation and prolonging the service life of the bearing. This one-piece cage also reduces heat and wear by increasing the mobility of the lubricant compared to two-piece designs. Three: pin cage. The pin cage of the cylindrical roller bearing consists of two metal rings and a set of pins passing through the middle of the rotating body. This cage is used for large diameter cupless full complement roller bearings where machined brass cages cannot be used. When this scheme is used, the number of cylindrical rollers can usually be increased to improve the bearing capacity.
