How to install cylindrical bore bearings

by:JNSN     2022-03-29
The installation and disassembly method of the bearing should be determined according to the structure, size of the bearing and the matching properties with the bearing components. The pressure of installation and disassembly should be directly applied to the end face of the tight fitting ring, and the pressure cannot be transmitted through the rolling elements, because this will cause indentations on the working surface of the bearing, affect the normal operation of the bearing, and even damage the bearing. Bearing cage, sealing ring, dust cover and other parts are easily deformed, and the pressure of installing or disassembling the bearing cannot be added to these parts. (1) The inner ring of the bearing has a tight fit with the shaft, and the outer ring has a loose fit with the housing. The bearing can be press-fitted on the bearing first by a press, and then the shaft together with the bearing is put into the housing. A soft metal assembly sleeve (copper or soft steel pipe) is placed on the bearing end face. The inner diameter of the assembly sleeve should be slightly larger than the journal diameter, and the outer diameter should be smaller than the rib diameter of the bearing inner diameter to avoid pressing on the cage. A handle can be added to the sleeve when installing a large number of shaft bearings. When the bearing is installed, the centerline of the bearing hole and the shaft should be coincident. The skew of the bearing relative to the shaft is not only difficult to install, but also causes indentation, bending of the journal and even fracture of the bearing inner ring. Where a press is missing or unavailable, a fitting sleeve and a small hammer can be used to install bearings. The hammering force should be uniformly transmitted to the entire circumference of the end face of the bearing ring, so the hammered end face of the assembly sleeve should be spherical. (2) The outer ring of the bearing has a tight fit with the housing hole, and the inner ring has a loose fit with the shaft. The bearing can be pressed into the housing first. At this time, the outer diameter of the assembly sleeve should be slightly smaller than the diameter of the housing hole. (3) The inner ring of the bearing and the shaft, the outer ring and the housing hole are all tightly fitted, and the end face of the assembly sleeve should be made into a ring that can press the end faces of the inner and outer rings of the bearing at the same time, or use a disc and assembly sleeve to make The pressure is simultaneously transmitted to the inner and outer rings, pressing the bearing onto the shaft and into the housing. This installation method is especially suitable for the installation of self-aligning radial spherical bearings. (4) Heating installation, the force required to install the bearing is related to the size of the bearing and the size of the fitting interference. For medium and large bearings with large interference, the method of shrinkage is commonly used. Put the bearing or separable bearing ring into the oil tank or special heater and evenly heat it to 80~100℃ (should not exceed 100℃). Shrink-fit bearings require skilled operating skills. When the bearing is taken out of the heating oil tank or from the heater, the oil traces and attachments on the bearing surface should be wiped off immediately with a clean cloth (cotton yarn cannot be used), and then placed in front of the mating surface, pushing the bearing in one operation to the position against the shaft shoulder. Always push tight during cooling, or tap the bearing against the assembly sleeve with a small hammer. When installing, the bearing should be rotated slightly to prevent the installation from tilting or jamming. When the outer ring of the bearing and the housing hole are tightly fitted, the housing can also be heated and then loaded into the bearing. In particular, the bearing seat made of light metal may damage its mating surface due to the pressing of the outer ring of the bearing in the case of a tight fit. At this time, the bearing seat should be heated.
