Installation and removal steps of cylindrical bore radial bearing

1. Installation Generally, for radial bearings whose inner and outer rings are inseparable, the inner ring and the shaft often use a tight fit; the outer ring and the seat hole use a looser fit. At this time, the bearing can be press-fitted on the shaft first, and then the bearing together with the shaft is installed into the bearing seat hole. The assembly sleeve used for press fitting is made of soft metal, such as copper or mild steel. The inner diameter of the sleeve is slightly larger than the shaft diameter, and the outer diameter is slightly smaller than the rib of the inner ring of the bearing. When the bearing must be installed on the shaft and in the seat hole at the same time, a pressure plate is added between the sleeve and the end face of the bearing. The hole diameter is slightly larger than the shaft diameter, and the outer diameter is slightly smaller than the bearing outer diameter. Its function is to prevent the outer ring of the bearing from flexing or jamming in the seat hole. The pressure exerted on the sleeve can be mechanical or hydraulic. But never directly hammer the end face of the ferrule. Because the ferrule is a hardened thin-walled part, it is easy to produce surface cracks by hammering. 2. Heating installation The force required to install the interference ring is related to the bearing size and the size of the fit interference. For medium and large bearings with large interference, the method of heating installation is often used. Before hot-loading, put the bearing into the oil tank and evenly heat it to 80℃~100℃, then take it out of the oil and install it on the shaft. Bearings should not be placed at the bottom of the box during heating to prevent precipitated impurities from entering the bearings. And should strictly control the oil temperature should not exceed 100 ℃. Other electric heating methods, such as induction heaters, electric hot plates and electric furnaces, can also be used depending on the bearing batch size. 3. Disassembly When disassembling an inseparable bearing whose inner ring and shaft are tightly fitted and the outer ring and seat hole are loosely fitted, first take out the shaft together with the bearing from the bearing seat hole, and then remove the bearing from the shaft. When disassembling the inner and outer ring separable bearings, first remove the shaft together with the inner ring, and then remove the inner ring from the shaft; the outer ring is removed from the bearing seat hole. The bearing is removed from the shaft or the bearing inner ring is removed from the shaft by a press. A screw mechanism is also available. When the outer ring fits tightly in the seat hole, the outer ring can be pressed out by a pressure mechanism.
