Cartridge type UCC pillow block bearing housing has a cylindrical outer perimeter hence the bearing outer bore is spherical. The entire unit allows free movement in the axial direction and it is self-aligning. This type can be used as free side bearings for long shafts because they are capable of accommodating shaft expansion or contraction due to temperature differences. Also suitable where there is adjustment of the axial direction is required.

Moreover, the UCC pillow block bearing unit that combines a bearing and a bearing box with a cylindrical outer diameter surface. The bearing box is a cylinder machined with high accuracy, so it can be used embedded in the cylindrical hole of the main body of the machinery.

The outer casing for UCC cylindrical cartridge mounted bearing is made of high-grade cast iron and is divided into solid and hollow types. The surface of the material is painted, electroplated, etc., so that it has anti-corrosion features. The UCC bearing unit is a relubricable product with an anti-rotation pin on the outer casing, which is a part that periodically injects grease into the inner bearing to extend lifetime of the entire unit. The spherical ball bearing in the outer casing is made of bearing steel or chrome steel and has strong pressure resistance. The bearing has sealing rings on both sides and these seals have dust-proof function. UCC pillow block bearing is normal duty. Its inner bearing is with a wide inner ring, and the inner ring is set screw locking type or an eccentric collar locking type.
