Additional information ■ For details see catalog HR 1, Rolling Bearings Ball Bearings Rollers Ball bearing rollers are identical in design to deep groove ball or angular contact ball bearings, except that the outer ring is thicker and the outer surface is crowned. Can withstand bidirectional axial loads and higher radial loads. Ball bearing rollers are available in bolt type and bearing type. Support type ball bearing rollers are mounted on shafts or bolts. Many special rollers with Triondur coating have a coating on the outer surface, Figure 1. This coating is particularly suitable for bite axis control mechanisms in sheetfed offset presses. Triondur coatings are characterized by: ■ excellent wear protection ■ very low friction ■ very high mechanical strength and tribological properties ■ good emergency running properties. Seals are lip seals or gap seals. Lubricated ball bearing rollers are lubricated with lithium soap grease. Double row ball bearing rollers can be relubricated through the inner ring. Printing Machinery Polygon Roller Polygon bearings are ready-to-install bearing units, Figure 2: ■ They are ready-to-install bearing units. Includes the following components: Cylindrical bore inner ring, rib-guided cylindrical rollers and double row cage (floating bearing). Or double row tapered roller bearings in O-arrangement, as locating bearings Thick-walled outer ring with lubrication holes and mounting holes, polygonal outer surface Polygon bearings are especially suitable for printing press cylinders that require large radial displacements After installation Zero play. Precision Lock Nuts Precision lock nuts are used where high axial forces, high runout accuracy and stiffness are required. The thread and axial end face of the lock nut are processed in one clamping. Therefore, its beating accuracy is very high. The lock nut ZM is secured against loosening by means of two radial locking pins. Spherical Roller Bearings Spherical roller bearings are double row non-separable bearings consisting of a solid outer ring with spherical raceway, a solid inner ring and drum rollers with cages. Designs for printing machines usually have the following features: ■ X-life quality ■ Conical bore inner ring ■ Increased accuracy to tolerance class P5 ■ Reduced internal clearance. Crossed Roller Bearings Crossed Roller Bearings XSU consist of inner and outer rings, rolling elements and spacers. The rolling elements are arranged in an X-shape and can therefore withstand axial and radial forces as well as overturning moments. Crossed roller bearings without teeth have high stiffness and running accuracy. Available with preload or with clearance. The bearing rings are bolted directly to the adjacent structure, making installation very easy. Designs with special geometries, such as integrated cams on the outer ring, are available by agreement.
