The requirements for door systems are very high, such as high reliability and long maintenance intervals. The operating period of the door system is specified by the bus manufacturer. Depending on the model, the door system may be opened more than 2.5 million times. The door system opening process usually includes the door rotary hook and linear opening movement. Rotational motion is achieved with maintenance-free spherical plain and rod end versions. Sometimes radial insert ball bearings with flange seats are also used. In linear motion, the door system is guided by linear ball bearings, rail systems or special rollers.
