Single Row Tapered Roller Bearing 33000 Series
Tapered roller bearings 33000 series have tapered inner and outer ring raceways and tapered rollers. They contain tapered rollers for its rolling element which are guided by the inner ring back-face rib on the roller large end face. These bearings are designed for accommodating combined loads, i.e. simultaneously acting radial and axial loads.
The projection lines of the raceways meet at a common point on the bearing axis to provide true rolling and low friction. Single row tapered roller bearings are separable, the outer ring is separable from the inner ring assembly, the inner ring assembly can be installed on the shaft and the outer ring in the housing individually. This feature facilitates mounting of the bearing while making the design of the shaft and housing simpler.
In general, pressed cages are used in 33000 series tapered roller bearings. However, for larger size, machined or pin type cages are also used; and for small sized bearings, molded resin cages are also available.
