Cylindrical roller thrust bearing and tapered roller thrust bearings are separable and can carry heavy axial loads. Furthermore, they are stiff and insensitive to shock loads, and they require little space. They are single direction bearings and can only accommodate axial load in one direction. Their main use is in applications where the load carrying capacity of thrust ball bearing is inadequate.

81100 series thrust roller bearing is a combination out of cylindrical roller and cage assembly K, housing washer GS and shaft washer WS. The cylindrical roller and cage assembly has particularly small axial section height, offers extra stiffness and has a high load carrying; supports high axial forces in one direction and acts as non-locating bearings in radial direction.

In mounting, it is possible to use a shaft or a housing as the direct raceway surface without using the bearing ring, whereby design of a low height and lightweight compact construction is enabled.

This type of thrust roller bearing results in slipping on raceway surface because theoretically it can’t roll perfectly, but in most cases it is practically trouble-free and can rotates at comparatively high speed.

The suffix TN means that this bearing uses a polyamide resin cage. Therefore, use this bearing at a temperature 120℃ or lower; or at 100℃ or lower for continuous operation. WS and GS bearing rings are used in set.

Application

Thrust cylindrical roller bearings are mainly used in oil drilling rig, the system iron steel machinery.
