How to install the tapered bore bearing in the bearing
The tapered bore bearing can be directly installed on the tapered journal, or it can be installed on the cylindrical journal with an adapter sleeve removal sleeve as an intermediary, but in any case, the interference of the inner ring of the tapered bore The amount can be determined based on the reduction in bearing clearance.
The reduction in radial clearance is the difference between the radial clearance of the bearing before and after installation. The original radial clearance of the bearing must be measured before installation, and the clearance must be measured frequently during installation until the radial clearance reduction corresponding to the ideal interference is achieved.
Radial The measurement of the clearance reduction can also be replaced by the measurement of the thrust of the bearing on the tapered journal. For a standard taper of 1:12, the reduction in radial clearance is approximately equivalent to 1/15 of the axial advance. At this ratio, for a solid shaft, the interference of the mating surface is only 75%-85% Play the role of expanding the inner circle.
The radial clearance reduction of large spherical roller bearings and cylindrical roller bearings is usually measured with a feeler gauge. Note that for spherical roller bearings, the two rows of rollers must be measured separately from the two end faces. Radial clearance, only when the clearance values u200bu200bat the two rows of rollers are the same, can the inner ring and the outer ring be relatively positive.
Small tapered bore bearings cannot be measured with feeler gauges due to their radial clearance is too small. A dial indicator can be used to contact the shaft or bearing seat to measure the lift during propulsion. At this time, the diameter The change in the amount of axial clearance does not take into account the elastic deformation of the rolling elements and raceways. The force used to push the bearing or the bearing seat should be roughly equivalent to their weight.
When the large bearing is installed in the disassembly sleeve, it can save a lot of effort, and it is especially suitable for occasions where the position is restricted and the large hook wrench cannot be used. The specific operation is: Place the hardened gasket S at the end of the disassembly sleeve, gently tighten the nut M, and then tighten the hardened bolts K evenly distributed along the circumference until the required clearance reduction is obtained. Small amount. Since the dismounting sleeve is self-locking by the friction of its tapered surface, it will not loosen even if the pressing device is removed. In this way, the compression nut M can be safely removed and replaced with a fixed nut, and the disassembly sleeve is compressed. .
A very thin layer of lubricating oil must be applied to the mating surface of the withdrawal sleeve during installation to reduce friction and facilitate installation. But be careful not to apply thick oil, otherwise the disassembly sleeve will lose its self-locking ability. When the compression screw and nut are removed to replace the fixed nut, the disassembly sleeve will loosen and deviate from the set position, causing installation errors.
In addition, the lubricant will gradually be squeezed out or escape from the mating gap during the working process, causing the original interference fit of the bearing to become loose.
When the installed bearing is removed and then installed on the journal, the nut cannot be screwed to the original position as it is, because the original fit has become loose after the bearing system has been working for a long time. As the thread gradually loosens, the mating surface is pressed and has a certain permanent deformation, and there is a certain reason for wear due to friction. In this case, the radial clearance reduction, axial advancement or expansion value must be re-measured during installation.
For large bearings, if the hydraulic installation method is adopted, the installation is labor-saving and quick, and the disassembly is more convenient.
For all standard disassembly sleeves and threaded shaft ends, piston hydraulic nuts can also be used to install the bearing on the tapered journal, or press the disassembly sleeve into the predetermined position of the cylindrical journal. The composition of the piston hydraulic nut and its working principle are: pressure oil is pressed into the cylinder (nut) through a high-pressure hose with the help of a manual oil pump. On the end surface of the inner ring of the bearing, the pressure oil drives the piston to push the bearing along the tapered journal. According to the pressure of the oil pressure gauge in the pipeline, the thrust of the bearing can be roughly judged.
For experienced bearing installers, the bearing can be tested by hand to sense its operational flexibility, and the interference of the bearing can also be controlled without the need for instrument measurement. This is for small tapered bores. This is especially true for the installation of bearings, but it can only be carried out when there is a certain degree of assurance after strict tests, and there must be no negligence in case.
