When the speed exceeds a certain limit, the bearing will suffer from Burns, etc. and cannot continue to rotate. The allowable rotation speed of the bearing refers to the limit value of the rotation speed at which the frictional heating will not cause burns and can rotate continuously. Therefore, the permissible speed of the seated rolling bearing depends on various factors such as the size of the bearing, the form of the oil seal, and the matching conditions between the inner ring of the bearing and the shaft. Table 6.1 shows the standard value of the allowable speed of the seated rolling bearing.
