Characteristics With few exceptions, single row angular contact ball bearings are non-separable bearings composed of solid inner and outer rings, balls and cage components. The raceways of the inner ring and the outer ring are offset from each other in the axial direction of the bearing. The angle adjustment function of this type of bearing is very limited. Radial and axial load carrying capacity Single row angular contact ball bearings can withstand unidirectional axial force and larger radial force. It must be axially adjustable relative to the other bearing. The axial load carrying capacity depends on the contact angle. Bearings with a contact angle of 4 can withstand greater axial loads compared to bearings with a contact angle of 3. Sealed bearings are not sealed. Single row angular contact ball bearings can be lubricated with grease or oil. Operating temperature The operating temperature of open angular contact ball bearings is 30 °C to +150 °C. Bearings with an outer diameter of D 240 mm can maintain dimensional stability up to +200 °C. Cage The standard series of this type of bearing is a brass solid window cage with ball guidance, with the suffix MP. Bearings with the suffix MPA or MPB(S) represent solid brass window cages guided by the outer ring or inner ring. Suffix Types of existing standard designs: see table.
